To the mass media, the Tesla Model S is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated models, if not the most anticipated model to hit the road this year. Since Elon Musk's EV concern showed a mock-up Model S prototype back in 2009, the Model S has been called everything from the salvation of the auto industry to abject vaporware.

It cracks me up that this is called the Sport model. It's anything but. The combination of the four-cylinder and the continuously variable transmission just doesn't cut it. Add in all-wheel drive sapping even more power and, well, you get the picture. The fact that the four-cylinder is a bit crude and loud only adds to my distaste for the 2012 Suzuki Kizashi Sport GTS. The shift paddles on the steering wheel seem like some sort of cruel joke.

We took the 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 to Michigan International Speedway to put it through our Autofile testing.

But sitting over at the Chrysler dealership is a car that can run with the autobahn burners: the Chrysler 300 SRT8. It marries the luxurious, massive interior and trunk real estate Americans crave with a monster motor in the 470-hp 6.4-liter Hemi V8, a heady concoction of pure American bad ass.

2012 GMC Yukon Hybrid Review

Chevy Tahoe Hybrid and its counterpart the GMC Yukon Hybrid were the first automobiles to use the innovative two-mode powertrain hybrid industrialized together with General Motors followed by BMW and the past DaimlerChrysler. This SUV that is full-size launched a new class of larger automobiles that are considerably greener than the versions that are gas-powered.

Presented with either four or two wheel drive, two trim levels are available. The foundation Yukon Hybrid the 2WD model price has a starting of $51,610; the 4WD starts at $54,420. The Yukon Denali Hybrid 2WD is lavishly appointed and it starts at $58,925 and $61,770 for the 4WD. There are no major changes to the Yukon Hybrid for model year 2012, the only changes were a radio that has a USB port, the ability to record broadcast audio an and updated touch-screen navigation.

2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost Review

The Ghost is a five seat four door sedan that is obtainable in 2 trim levels: the longer extended wheelbase (EWB) and the base. In addition to having a six point seven stretch in the wheelbase which affords more space for passengers that will sit in the back the extended wheelbase is comparable to the basic Rolls-Royce Ghost.

Basic features include a sunroof, nineteen inch wheels, rear and front parking sensors, air suspension(active), automatic dimming mirrors, ignition and entry that is keyless, auto headlights (xenon), automatic wipers, cruise control, leather trim and upholstery, rear doors that power close, heated seats, umbrellas stored in the doors at the front, Bluetooth, massaging front seats with ten way power, four zone climate control, navigation system, satellite radio, sound with sixteen speakers and DVD/CD player, USB/iPod interface and an audio jack (auxillary).

The options seem only to be limited to what the buyer has in his bank account and how far their imagination can go. Suffice it to say that one can get adjustable rear outboard seats that come with options for ventilation or massage and drop down wood picnic tables. The driver assistance package comes with a camera equipped with night vision that has pedestrian detection feature, warning for lane departure and high beams (automatic). The 2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost will come with a number of color choices with a selection of five wood and eight leather trims. Those who want to be unique can have their Ghost customized however they want through the program known as Bespoke Commission.

2012 MINI Cooper Coupe Review

The 2012 MINI Cooper Coupe can be described as small, peculiar, stylish and makes an exciting drive. Ownership of the MINI blueprint was transferred to BMW from the original owner. It is considered to be the ‘miniest’ of the MINI latest breed. The Coupe is available in the three customary MINI tastes and it succeeds in its aim to load up on additional performance and style than whatever else is in the series.

The MINI Coupe’s roofline is powerfully attractive. The windshield that is largely raked and the great rear spoiler to the swooped shape allow it to be described by MINI as the ‘helmet’. The Coupe is essentially standard MINI underneath the helmet, although there are some unique characteristics found under the cover.

Unlike its Clubman and Hatchback family members, the Coupe has additional weight bias in the back making it more neutrally handled and makes it seem more willing to go into the field of solid-state ‘oversteer’ over others than a lot of front-drive car. This allows it to be an equipped companion in quick switchbacks, revolving almost as easily and as well as a car using rear-wheel-drive. With the combination of an effective selection of four-cylinder 1.6-liter engines, this car version is one of the most exciting to cars to roll out in its class.
